The issue of Slovakia Summit 2005 is being printed at the time when Slovakia is hosting a series of important international meetings. The Slovak Republic will be visited by George Bush, the President of the United States of America, for the first time ever. And Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, will pay his first official visit to Slovakia. Besides meetings with the supreme representatives of Slovakia the Presidents George Bush and Vladimir Putin will hold their summit on February 24, which is a follow up on their previous meetings. Slovakia with its foreign policy, as well as its domestic reforms, is respected abroad. The summit and visits of both presidents are the proof of strong position Slovakia enjoys in the world. They are also the proof of the fact Slovakia is respected both in Moscow, and in Washington. Such important events give a chance to Slovakia. A chance to narrate its own story. The story of Slovakia being a country in which freedom and democracy have asserted themselves. A country that strives to be better and better. A country that supports its neighbors. And finally, a country that offers a helping hand to all those that long for freedom.
