Philately is a fine and remarkable area of interest. It extends one’s horizons and is an excellent and pleasant way to relax. Organised philatelic activity in Slovakia goes back over 110 years. A convention of Slovak philatelic clubs’ delegates, held on 17 May 1969 in Sliač, provided a basic framework for the foundation of the today’s Union of Slovak Philatelists (USP).
