The European Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes nasicornis) is one of two species of the subfamily Dynastinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae), which lives mainly throughout the tropics, living in Slovakia. Its bizarre proportions imply a special status among our beetles.
