Lanius collurio Singing bird of sparrow size with small bird of pray ability. It's beak shape with a characteristic scrimshaw indicate about it. It lives in an open lowland and in the edge of forests. For the most it's frequent in a lowest locations then mountains high. It sits in upland areas, for example top of the bush, fencing pillars, electric lines and so on. It nest once a year, from May till July. The nest in cup shape is usually placed in thorny bushes (blackthorn, juniper, dog rose, hawthorn). Lanius collurio is migratory breed, arrives in end of April and May, fly away in August and September. In a winter-time it lives in central and south Africa. Drawing on the stamp illustrates Lanius collorio male. Drawing on the envelope represents Regulus ignicapillus. It's about small singing bird of 5-6 gramm weight (!). It belongs to the breed with lowest weight in Europe. Regulus ignicapillus lives in coniferous and mixed forests, from lowland till mountain pine. Characteristic is it's head colouring, orange or yellow crown, black strip through it's eye and striking white strip placed over it's eye. It's a migratory breed, arrives in March, fly away in October. In a winter-time it lives in north Africa.
