In almost a century of existence, Slovak Shipyards at Komárno have produced around 1, 500 vessels. Currently in production are three types of cargo ship of the new Rýn, EMS and Rostock generation. The subject of the 5-Crown stamp is a cargo ship of the EMS type leaving the docks. The background features a silhuette of Komárno with its historical landmarks and more recent townscape.
